Blonde -v- Red

Emma Stone is certainly one to watch in Hollywood at the moment. She first caught our attention with her down to earth style & comedic performance in Superbad. Emma has since landed bigger and more challenging roles cementing her place as one of Hollywood’s top new actresses.

We first saw Miss Stone as a fiery redhead and since then she has played around with her look going from a darker auburn to more recently a crisp blonde. With her pale skin tone we were pleasantly surprised to see how well each shade suited her.

Scarlett Johansson has been frequently listed as one of the world’s sexiest women. With her hourglass shape & sultry looks it’s no wonder why. As a blonde, Scarlett was the Marilyn Monroe of our generation redefining the term bombshell as only she could.

When she decided to go from blonde to red people were shocked and we couldn’t wait to get a look at it. The verdict? It’s certainly a different look but she is still stunning.

Megan Fox – Signature Look

Megan Fox is one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses. Whether she is dressed up or down she is always stunning.

She tends to stick to one signature look with her make-up. Having a signature look is always a good way to ensure you always look fantastic in a rush.

Megan says that Marilyn Monroe is her beauty icon & we can see evidence of this in the way she does her own make-up.

Start off with a neutral eye colour, something close to your skin tone but with a slight shimmer. This will provide a contrast with your eyeliner and make it really stand out.

Next, use a black gel or liquid liner to create a thick line on the top of your eye. Use short strokes & make sure you stay as close to the lash line as possible to give you that perfect line then gently flick up & out at the outer corners of your eyes.

Megan likes to keep her blush to a minimum so use a light peach colour across your cheekbones and blend up towards your temple.

To transform this look from day to night all you have to do is fill in your brows, add some red lipstick and voila! A simple, classic look that works for any occasion.

Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Look

Drawing in a combined 10.5 million viewers over two nights, Kim Kardashian’s wedding special was the most watched event on E! ever.

Shocking? Not really. Given her status as Hollywood Royalty this wedding was seen with as much importance in the US as the Royal wedding was seen here in Ireland & the UK.

Kim Kardashian has been a beauty icon for a number of years now. Her sultry, smokey eye and glossy loose curls have been imitated (or attempted) on many a Friday night by girls around the world.

Not only did she have her wedding dress personally designed by renowned bridal designer Vera Wang but she also had a second Vera Wang creation for her reception. One can only dream!

The theme of her wedding was black, white & sparkle. Similarly again to the British Royal Wedding, Kim’s bridesmaids wore white, strapless dresses just like their sister. When you look this good you don’t need to be the only one in white!

Kim’s look was a very fresh, classic bridal look. She wore neutral shades on her eyes with thick lashes & liquid liner. He cheeks were lightly flushed with pink & a soft pink lip finished the look beautifully.

The LA Team were hooked on this wedding special; the hair, the make-up, the dresses…it really was the event of the season.

Rihanna’s New Look

Some celebs are known for yo-yo dieting but Rihanna is quickly becoming known for her yo-yo hairstyles!

For the past few years, the LA team have been loving every new style she has come out with.  She is not afraid to try something different and for that Rihanna, we love you!

Rihanna first caught our attention for her hair with her dark pixie cut. After the long wavy brunette extensions that we see on so many celebs this was a drastic & welcomed change!

Next on the hit list for this hair chameleon was the super vampy red tresses that really earned her the spot as a style icon. Since her fiery look debuted we have seen a huge surge of girls braving this shade.

We love how much she plays around with her look with every new colour from a two-tone, choppy mohawk to a long mermaid plait.

So far this year we have seen the Barbados beauty sporting black, brunette & red so it was only a matter of time before she decided to test out the age old question…..do blondes have more fun?

The 10 Year Anniversary of Kate & Rimmel!

To celebrate 10 years as the face of Rimmel, Kate Moss has teamed up with the cosmetic giant to create a range of lipsticks, eyeshadows & mascaras all to be on the shelves by the end of October.

The lipstick collection was launched last month and boasts 7 amazing shades from the perfect red to the prettiest nude and even the latest lip-colour of the season, purple!

The colours are very pigmented. This means that the colour you see is the colour you get. It can be quite frustrating when a colour looks completely different once it’s on your lips. Our favourite thing about these lipsticks is the price. At just €6.95 these are a make-up bag must have.
