Holiday Nails

For this holiday season, OPI have launched Limited Edition Axxium Holiday Sparkles.
This collection of six glittering shades comes in a soak-off gel polish so you know it will last you right through the party season!
To coincide with The Muppets Christmas movie, this range features colours from OPI’s ‘The Muppets Collection’.
December can be such a dreary month so when it comes to fashion & beauty trends, the more sparkle the better as we have already seen with MAC’s Glitter and Ice collection.
Holiday Sparkles include hot pink “Excuse Moi”, blue “Gone Gonzo”, green “Fresh Frog of Bel Air”, fuchsia “Divine Swine”, red “Miss Piggy With It” & multicoloured “Rainbow Collection”.

MAC Christmas Collection

Gone are the days when the most exciting thing about the holiday season was waking up on Christmas morning to find out what new surprise was waiting for you. Now, however, we have slightly different priorities when it comes to new things. Namely, the new holiday collections from MAC!

This year, MAC have teamed up with Olympic Skating champion Johnny Weir to create their new ‘Glitter & Ice’ collection. This 3-time title holder apparently loves to use MAC during his skating performances and in case the name didn’t give it away, his career was the main inspiration behind the collection.

Glitter & Ice is one of the largest holiday collections MAC has launched in the past few years boasting new shades for eyes, lips, face & nails so there is something for everyone here!

The shadows are mineralize and with how much we adore the mineralize face powders we certainly can’t wait to see these! The rest of the shades are all metallic shimmers & glitters which are always a holiday staple when it comes to make-up trends.

Soap & Glory Make-Up Launch

You may recognise Soap & Glory for their bright, colourful packaging & luxurious cleansers & moisturisers.

Their tongue in cheek product names have certainly kept us entertained and now we are happy to say that they have ventured into the world of make-up.

With a range covering everything from concealer & foundation to lipgloss and liquid liners, the LA team are really looking forward to giving this collection a test run!

The concealers have been compared to those of Bobbi Brown, the only noticeable different being that it is less than half the price!

Along with 6 shades of foundations to choose from & an array of blushes, bronzers & long-wear eye shadows, one product that really stood out to us was the eyeshadow primer.

“It’s about prime” comes in two shades; nude & smokey. We love the idea of a primer in a smokey shade to really give a good depth of colour to work with & keep your look smouldering all day.

There is something for everyone in this amazing new range & with a maximum price of €15 we are sure it will be well received.

The full range may only be found in some of the larger boots stores i.e. Liffey Valley but keep an eye out for some of these products filtering into your make-up counters.

B.B Miracle Face Cream

BB (Beauty Balm) Cream is the newest development in skincare to hit our shelves, but what do we know about it?

The formula comes from German dermatologists who prescribed it to aid healing after laser skin surgery because of its soothing ingredients.

From here it became the next big thing to hit Asia. It is full of anti-oxidants & gives light coverage to sooth redness and even skin tone.

The Asian BB cream also contains a skin lightener & gives off a noticeable greyish cast to cancel out sallow tones in the skin. Garnier however, have released an adapted formula to suit the needs of the western woman. The sheer coverage can be described as a step between tinted moisturiser & foundation.

It gives a very dewy finish which is great for this seasons bare-faced make-up trend giving your face a fresh, bright complexion and at €14.99 the LA Team have been snatching them off the shelves!

Not only is this miracle cream available as an all over moisturiser but Garnier have also incorporated the ingredients into their already amazing eye roll on! Use this roll on pen to hide the effects of late nights.

It is great to reduce dark circles and puffiness & brightens the eye contour with a light, caffeine-infused formula.

The 10 Year Anniversary of Kate & Rimmel!

To celebrate 10 years as the face of Rimmel, Kate Moss has teamed up with the cosmetic giant to create a range of lipsticks, eyeshadows & mascaras all to be on the shelves by the end of October.

The lipstick collection was launched last month and boasts 7 amazing shades from the perfect red to the prettiest nude and even the latest lip-colour of the season, purple!

The colours are very pigmented. This means that the colour you see is the colour you get. It can be quite frustrating when a colour looks completely different once it’s on your lips. Our favourite thing about these lipsticks is the price. At just €6.95 these are a make-up bag must have.
