The New Year is coming. 2009 has been a strange year; a difficult one for many of us but we’ve all survived! And what better time than January to think about starting a new path in life?

1.    The Beauty Therapy Course starts in February in Dublin. You can learn all about Ireland’s own spray tanning solution WOW brown and Dermalogica as well as teeth whitening, threading, Indian head massage and permanent eyelash extensions, how to use Lycon Hot Wax and the Selectif ProTM hair removal treatment. Call us now to book a place!

2.    Our Make-Up Training courses take place right throughout the year. You can start with Module One for a taster and move on to Module Two and Module Three. Or you can step right into Module Three if you think that life as a professional makeup artist is for you.

3.    The LA Airbrush Training workshops also take place during the year. This is a key skill for all makeup artists working with film or TV.

4.    The LA Fashion Styling course shows you how to use fashion to the best advantage and adds an extra string to your bow when applying for jobs.

5.    The LA Special Effects Diploma is an intensive course in every special effects technique you could need.

6.    The LA Threading and Henna course is a good introduction to Eastern makeup techniques#

7.    The LA Start your own Business course shows you how to take all that makeup knowledge and turn it into a successful career.

Come in and chat with us to find out which course suits you the best!

Or call us now if you are outside Dublin.

How to look glam and fresh when you’ve had a month of parties already?

  • Number One is your Granny’s favourite – drink lots and lots of water. Tea and coffee don’t really count so make sure keep water glasses on the go as well. Even when you’re out it’s a good idea to mix water with wine so to speak.
  • Then cleanse, cleanse, cleanse. No matter how tired you are over the Christmas days remember to take off that makeup.
  • Invest in some heavy-duty exfoliators and masks. You don’t have to spend a fortune; Boots has some great mud-masks for €1.38
  • On the afternoon of the 31st spend some time soaking your face and loading up with last-minute minerals. Look for products which shrink pores and tighten skin – temporarily anyhow!
  • No matter how tired you are; take the time to wash your hair well and use lots of conditioner to add some shine from the top down.
  • Only use concealer in the darkest spots! Apply a luminous foundation everywhere else to shine in all the right ways.
  • Use a highlighter on your cheekbones, the inner corner of your eye and a gentle line down your nose – not too much there or you’ll look like Rudolph.
  • Add some shimmer across your chest and along the shoulders but again use a light hand.

What will you be wearing on New Year’s Eve?
