We spend so long creating fabulous looks; it seems a shame to wipe all that lovely makeup off our faces sometimes! But it has to be done; we all know what happens to girls who sleep in their makeup; spots and other nasty skin conditions. These are the make up removal tools and products which professional makeup artists use:
- Cotton swabs and wool
- A gentle cleanser suitable for the eyes like Clinique Take the Day off or this Neutrogena power cleanser which the WOW.ie bloggers also love.
- If you use a cloth make sure you wash it frequently; heat it by running hot water over the cloth to make sure you get everything off!
- The girls at Beaut.ie rave about oil cleansers in their Guide to Gorgeous and we agree; oils lift all foundations and product clear off the face leaving you smooth and glowing.
- Mascara should be carefully wiped off with cotton wool (and baby oil for waterproof mascara removal); try to avoid scrubbing your eyelashes when they’re thick with product.
Cleaning gives your skin a chance to breath all night. And of course saves you waking up looking like a raccoon having gone to bed a Goddess! What do you use to cleanse the night away?
