Cannes Film festival came to a close this weekend, but what a spectacular fashion marathon of show stopping designer gowns, amazing hair, and endless amounts of red carpet glamour!
Kate Beckinsale continued her red carpet triumph in a tiered mermaid gown from Nina Ricci and over 150 carats of Chopard diamonds. It comes to no surprise that she was without a doubt the best dressed of the entire event, looking picture perfect in a selection of breathtaking gowns.
When Cheryl Cole flew in last week she became a close contender to steal Kate’s crown, the Brit starlet put many a Hollywood actress to shame. She looked flawless and showing her enviable curves in a Versace fall 2010 dress complete with thigh high slit, with cut off panels and a crossed back, teamed with Christian Louboutin heels, a gold clutch by Carto Meltedo and jewerlly by de Grisagano.
While Diane Kruger ditched her monochrome favorite and opted for a custom made vibrant fuschia and black lace gown by designer of the moment Jason Wu accessorised with a purple satin Roger Vivier Short Night tube clutch. Salma Hayek wore yet another beautiful Gucci Premiere romantic blush pink gown. Kirsten Dunst looked gorgeous in a eye popping turquoise gown from Chanel’s Resort 2011 collection unveiled last week.
Some stars decided to ditched the norm of beautiful jaw dropping gowns associated with Cannes 2010, Kristin Scott Thomas chose this dramatic canary yellow asymmetric dress, while Milla Jouovich added some voluminous in this strapless Louis Vuitton number (reminding me of my Granny’s old 90′s curtains) but only she would pull it off. Beth Ditto provided some humor with this feather embellishment and vibrant colour before departing, one word crazy!!
Without a doubt it has definitely given us some of the most memorable fashion moments of 2010, roll on Cannes 2011.
Who was your best dressed girls??

Another night in Cannes and of course that means another star studded glamorous party! The glamorati were out in force last night for the most glittering party of the week as the style hit fever pitch at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Benefit at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc.
