The Paris Couture shows saw an array of designers showcase their extravagant but purse defying gowns this week.

We couldn’t believe our eyes as these pics came flooding in this morning of the Valentino Garavi Archives Dinner Party.

17876303_gettyJessica Alba looked jaw dropping gorgeous in this floor- sweeping gown and nude clutch, perfectly matched with the dress’s underlay.

17876086_gettyDoes Gwyneth Paltrow ever put a step wrong in the style stakes. This Valentino blush pink dress looked absolutely stunning on the blonde actress.

Christian Dior kicked started the shows, inspired by all things floral, it was a runway full of fantastical designs vivid colours, petal shaped skirts and ruffles.

The finale seen an array of eye popping spectacular gowns with glamorous, all-encompessing skirts and draped layers.

Make-Up was bold and theatrical with dark plum lips, dramatically lined eyes and fabulous faux lashes. The hair courtesy of Stephan Jones was created to imitate florists cellophane wrapping. Genius!

Guests such as Jessica Alba, Blake Lively and Lily Cole looked stunning as they embraced the show in the front row.
