Kate’s on trend with her western style

The western look has still been floating around this summer with designers such as Ralph Lauren showing western influence in their collection.  This summer the look has been re-vamped as Kate Middleton was spotted donning the western look in America during her and Prince William’s tour of America. Kate was closely followed by British and American media on their tour and her every fashion move was noted. This is one look that stood out to us as it is young, fresh, simple and every apt.

The Dutchess of Cambridge looks every part the cowgirl in the her cowboy hat and denims. The Princess is careful not to over do the look and this is important for anyone who decides to add a little cowgirl to their look.

You can achieve this look with fringed clothing and western accessories. Just remember not to over do it too much.

This straw cowboy hat is perfect for a summer poolside cowgirl look and is from our high street favourite Topshop.

The western look is best kept simple so don’t over do it. As seen on Kate her main western style pieces are her denim jeans and then of course her hat. If you are going with a waistcoat, don’t team it with a hat and cowboy boots. It will be too much! Keep it simple with only 1-2 western accessories.

The LBD goes red!

This season we have seen a shift from the little black dress to the little red dress. With all this colour blocking that we have seen throughout spring and summer, it is refreshing to see a trend that everyone can pull off. Now don’t go throwing away your black dresses as these are a fashion staple and wardrobe classic must have. Designers have just re-invented it this summer!  So make sure you are seen in your LRD this summer!

Sheer Perfection!

Designers have left little to the imagination this summer with the sheer trend that has been unveiled on catwalks across the world. This summer it’s all about sheer!

The look has been seen been seen in collections from Givenchy to Chloe. These designers suggest a pair of opaque mini-shorts or briefs to wear under a sheer skirt.

If you don’t feel quite as daring as to wear a sheer skirt why not incorporate the trend to your outfit by adding a sheer top or blouse such as this one from Pixie Lotts collection at Lipsy London for just  EUR48.72

Style icons Blake Lively and Rosie Huntington Whiteley both rocked the sheer look at their respective summer blockbuster premieres.
