Whats in my make-up bag?
As a make-up artist, I love seeking out new brands and new products. I love nothing more than to go around to all of the make-up counters and test and smell all of the products. I always leave looking like a walking palette. So in my make-up bag right now I have a mix of high quality brands and some fantastic low price point highly pigmented products. Here are to mention but a few:
-Max Factor Colour Adapt; Max Factor has been around for a really long time and in my opinion have perfected some products which include their foundations. I have used this product for around 4 years and I absolutely love it. I apply it lightly with my fingers and use the heat of my hands to let it melt into my skin. At under €20, this product always stands tall in my make-up bagJ
-MAC Kohl eye pencil in Fascinating. White eye pencil is great when you have missed out on a few hours sleep but don’t ant to look it. Applied to the water line, this instantly makes your eyes pop. For a cheaper option, try Barry M in white. The quality isn’t as god but it still has the same effect.
-No7 translucent face powder: I started using this face powder because my Mum always used it when I was younger. Now my sisters and I all love it and use it everyday. It is light weight, glides on to your skin beautifully and is translucent so it won’t change the colour of your foundation.
-Urban Decay Eyeshadow Potion. This is an amazing product and really deserves all of the credit it gets. Apply to the eyelids and then brush on your eyeshadow. This potion will hold your eyeshadow in place all day and will prevent those nasty crease lines appearing in the socket line of your eye. At around €15, you need to own this product.
-Lipstick: Be it at a great lipstick from Boots from brands like Rimmel and Barry M or a high class lippy from Illamasqua ,MAC and Bobbi Brown, I love them all. Let lipstick give you the confidence to speak your mind. Up until about 2 months ago I was so scared of lipsticks as I am constantly surrounded by people, I was terrified that it would end up on my chin and no-one would tell me about it! Now it is my new love. So don’t be afraid of colour on your lips, embrace it.
So until next time, always look for a product that you fully intend on using. So many of us have spent hundred(and thousands) of euros on products that will remain unopened in your room for many years.
As I always say, wear your make-up. Don’t let it wear you.
