Course description:
Module 2 is designed for those wishing to pursue a career as a make-up-artist for fashion photographic.
Topics covered:
Throughout the course students will learn:
● Basic & Fundamentals of Make-Up
● Bridal & Contemporary Bridal Make-Up
● Special Occasion
● Sultry Smokey Eye
● False lashes: strip & individual
● High Fashion Make-Up
● Catwalk Make-Up from international catwalks
● Trend Make-Up from the latest pages of Vogue to the high street
● Photographic & black and white photographic Make-Up
● Mother of the Bride Mature Make-Up
● Photoshoot: recreate bridal & natural look for your essential portfolio
All courses are taught by working celebrity make-up artists who are top of their chosen field. This course also includes an end course exciting photoshoot where you will create two high fashion images for your all-important portfolio!
Work Experience:
We are proud to offer LA Make-Up students our unique work experience programme. Through our work experience programme, students will get the opportunity of applying their new skills with leading names in the industry. LA Make-Up students enjoy an 'open door' policy allowing you not only to continue on the work experience programme after your course, but also to take part in the photoshoot experience for up to one year absolutely free!
*Please note that Module 2 starts at beginners level.
Certification:
LA Make-Up Academy Certificate in Fashion & Bridal Make-Up along with a 2 image disk portfolio.
Optional- FETAC level 5 Minor Award in Make-Up Application
What is FETAC?
FETAC is the national awarding body in Ireland. this element of Module 2 is optional. If you decide to take it you will complete the following assignments within the course time:
Practical Exam- Bridal Make-up
Written Exam- 50 multiple choice questions
Case studies- 5 make-up looks
*Please note - applicants must sit the FETAC assessment to be eligible for funding.
Course duration:
Full Time - 2 weeks, Monday –Friday,10am - 4pm
Part Time - 10 weeks, Monday & Tuesday or Wednesday & Thursday 6.30pm - 9pm
Weekends: 10 Saturday classes, 10am-4pm
Course cost:
The total course investment is €895. A deposit of €200 is required to secure your place on the course. The remainder can be paid 2 weeks before the course start date.
To take the FETAC optional module an extra €55 is required for the FETAC assessment
