The general public is now privy to these age-old "secrets" and with assisted help from licensed cosmetologists who haveadvanced training in make-up and even award-winning artists who enjoy coming in on the floor between projects. Maurice Stein gained his start as the owner of a hair salon in San Marino, California. With an interest and talent in make-up artistry, he was persuaded to join Columbia Studios in 1962. Little did Maurice Stein know that he was taking his first step toward becoming one of Hollywood's most revered artists. His career spans over 40 years and with over 200 film and television projects and more than 4,000 commercials to his credit. With a personalized style and keen eye, Stein has worked on some of Hollywood's most expensive and celebrated faces and was requested by three United States Presidents.
Many of Maurice Stein's revolutionary techniques helped to establish new standards in the industry, which are seen in such prominent productions as "Funny Girl" with Barbra Streisand, M*A*S*H, "Friday the 13th," the original "Star Trek" series, "The Flying Nun" with newcomer Sally Fields, "Laugh-In," "The Love Boat," "Soap," and on the hit NBC sitcom "Golden Girls" where Stein won critical acclaim for aging Estelle Getty in her title role as Sophia. Most notably, Maurice Stein was part of the Academy Award-winning team of make-up artists for the original release of "Plant of the Apes."
In 1985, Maurice Stein turned his hobby into a reality and opened CINEMA SECRETS. With this being a family business, wife, Barbara, sons Michael and Danny and daughter, Debra, joined in the new venture, helping to create one of the most talked about and sought after facilities in the country. They introduced HALLOWEEN, HOLLYWOOD STYLE for the general public ... launched their own line of costumes, accessories, props, prosthetics, wigs and other assorted Halloween product under their brand name of Woochie. The facility boasts a full-service hair salon, make-up and educational center for both industry professionals and the general public.
Today, CINEMA SECRETS has secured Stein's reputation, not only an artist, but as a leading beauty expert. It's no wonder that many leading make-up artists and top executives with cosmetics companies consider themselves to be part of Stein's growing roster of alumni, including many artists who have gone on to become teachers themselves.

As a humanitarian, Maurice Stein fashioned a career in making people look beautiful. It was difficult for him to see those afflicted with skin disorders, discolorations and even scarring due to burns. For 20 years, Maurice perfected his own line of cosmetics, CINEMA SECRETS ULTIMATE FOUNDATION and product line to encompass those needs.
Through the American Cancer Society and through the assisted help of the National Cosmetology Association, Stein became one of the first make-up professionals to provide his Corrective Make-Up Techniques and educational services to the National Look Good, Feel Better Program. This inspiring program helps those fighting cancer to look and feel their very best. Stein has also helped cancer patients at City of Hope and other leading
