Lynda is a freelance makeup artist working and living in London. Her career began over a decade ago by completing a two year training course specialising in makeup for film, theatre and special effects. After graduating Lynda found immediate work on the Hollywood film King Arthur directed by Jerry Bruckheimer; her main responsibilities were body painting, tattooing and the application of many styles of facial hair.
Lynda's passion and dedication for makeup has seen her commissioned to work on numerous leading campaigns for makeup houses including Shu Uemura, Nars, Laura Mercier, Pout and MAC.
Consistently high standards have seen her form part of the makeup team for the hit TV show Dancing on Ice consecutively for five years. Additional TV shows in her portfolio are The Tudors, Comic Relief, Fame Academy, Britain's Next Top Model and The Charlotte Church Show. Her most recent work was The Love Bus where Lynda fulfilled the role of Zoe Salmons personal hair and makeup stylist.
High profile celebrity clients Lynda has worked with include Barbara Windsor, Daniela Westbrook, Mikey Graham from Boyzone, Tinie Tempah, Patch Williams, Fern Cotton and Charlotte Church to name but a few.
Regular work with fashion photographer Rankin on Rankin Live and recent work on London Fashion Week has enabled Lynda to maintain styles and techniques that are at the forefront of modern fashions.
The experience that Lynda will bring to LA Academy will be second to none and she looks forward to teaching the next generation of aspiring makeup artists.
